-
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
Vital protection for damage caused to third party property or injury to members of the public as a result of negligence arising from your business activities.
-
PRODUCTS LIABILITY INSURANCE
This usually goes hand-in-hand with Public Liability and extends the remit to cover injury or damage caused by the sale, supply, manufacture or repair of products.
-
EMPLOYERS' LIABILITY INSURANCE
It is a legal requirement to have employers' liability insurance if you have any staff in the UK. ‘Staff’ can include full or part-time employees, volunteers, apprenticeships, contracted or freelance workers. If they sustain injury or disease arising from their job, you may be liable for a compensation claim. The legal minimum is £5 million, but most insurers offer £10 million as standard.
-
BUSINESS INTERRUPTION INSURANCE
If your business suffers a physical loss (fire/theft/flood etc.) at its premises, this policy covers the cost of lost income or profit throughout the recovery phase, until your business gets back on its feet to a pre-loss level. Many extensions are available, including cover for the impact of damage to key customer or supplier premises, as well as loss of utilities.
-
LEGAL EXPENSES INSURANCE
Legal Expenses cover can protect you against the cost of defending a legal action brought against you from many different scenarios, such as contractual disputes, employment matters, property disputes, tax and VAT investigations.
-
MATERIAL DAMAGE
This collective policy covers all business assets. The cover can be for one location or many, while levels of cover can be adjusted according to unique circumstances, such as security, exposure to flooding, exposure to neighbouring businesses and the use of the premises.
